Followmont – Connect Your Account

If you have an existing account and rates with Followmont Transport, you can easily bring your own accounts across to FreightExchange to receive quotes, print labels and book and track shipments along side our other broker carriers.

Part 1: Get Your Account Details

To connect your Followmont account, you’ll need your Followmont Account Number, which you can obtain from your Followmont account manager.

Once you have your account number, complete the Account Settings using the following details:

Field	Value to Enter
Account Number	Your Followmont Account number
User Id	Use your Followmont Account Number
Customer Code	Use your Followmont Account Number
Freight Code	GEN (default)
Prefix to be used for Consignment Number (4-letter)	You can nominate your own prefix, or use the first 4 letters of your account number for easier tracking
Connote allocation starts from	100000 (default)

Part 2: Set-up your BYO Carrier Account in FreightExchange

Follow the instructions in our How To Connect Your BYO Carrier Accounts help article to connect your account to FreightExchange.

Once all the above steps are done, you can proceed to book your shipments without your rates being loaded. If you would prefer to upload your rates, then please share the rate card with support@freightexchange.com.au

Part 3: Test Bookings

Once you have completed the setup, perform test bookings to confirm your configuration is correct.

To do this:

Run sample quotes and check that the rates returned by the system are correct.
Review the generated labels and have them signed off by your account manager.
Confirm with your account manager that the test bookings were received as expected in their system.

This validation helps ensure your setup is working correctly before processing live bookings.
