How To Enable White Label For A Customer

Please follow this guide to ensure that all customers, who request our White Label solutions are up and running quickly.

TECHICAL INSTRUCTIONSrequires the technical team

When customers activates and begins to set up their white label, an email is sent to us which will need prompt action from our team to ensure a smooth process. The customer is unaware that this email is sent to us and that manual action is being taken. 


Steps to follow:

  1. Enquiry received in Freshdesk - this will include the white label URL the customer wishes to use.
  2. Operations to advise the tech team by assigning the ticket to the tech team
  3. Log into AWS
    1. Route 53 > Hosted Zones >freightexchange.com.au 
    2. Create CNAME record
      1. Record name - domain from customer
      2. Record Type - CNAME - Routes traffic to another domain and to come AWS resources
      3. Value - portal.freightexchange.com.au (for live customers - use portal.dev.freightexchange.com.au for testing)
      4. Create CNAME
  4. Click on URL provided by the customer to check your changes have worked (may take a few minutes)

MANUALLY SETTING A COMPANY AS A PARENT


There may be instanced when a customer requests that they want to use the White Label, and we need to manually enable them as a Parent.

By using the Retool app, you can set any company as a Parent. And then create the link between Parent and Child until we have that function available on the UI.

 

Step by Step Guide

To enable the Parent:

1. Login to the Retool App

2. Search for the company name.

3. Select the relevant row, it will populate the details in right side.

4. Enable the "Is Parent?" toggle and click on Update.
