Shipping In Peak Season
To be certain your goods arrive before Christmas, we recommend you ship before:
- 13th December 2024 when shipping between Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane & Adelaide
- 16th December 2024 when shipping outside the Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane & Adelaide
Be sure to allow 48 hours for all pick-ups, particularly in residential, regional areas or where a tail lift vehicle is requested. We recommend you select the Authority to Leave option wherever possible and book Premium or Overnight service for all of your last minute or urgent deliveries.

Our Hi-Trans Express team will be taking a well-deserved break with all our operational sites CLOSED on the dates listed and minimal staff scheduled to work throughout January to ensure business continuity.
Due to the expected number of business closures, we are requesting confirmation advice for pickups or deliveries during the following periods.
- Monday 23 December - Requires pickup/delivery confirmation
- Tuesday 24 December - Requires pickup/delivery confirmation
- Wednesday 25 December - CLOSED for Christmas Day
- Thursday 26 December - CLOSED for Boxing Day
- Friday 27 December - CLOSED
- Monday 30 December - Requires pickup/delivery confirmation
- Tuesday 31 December - Requires pickup/delivery confirmation
- Wednesday 1 January - CLOSED for New Years Day
- 2 - 10 January - Requires pickup/delivery confirmation
- Monday 13 January - Expected Return to Business as Usual
- Monday 27 January - CLOSED for Australia Day
CRL
- Commencing from the 24th December 2024, linehaul operations will continue to operate. However, during this period, services will operate on a consolidated basis, with volume levels determining the frequency of linehaul movements. As a result, some lanes may experience extended transit times. Normal services are expected to resume on 2nd January 2025.
- Services remain ongoing with the exception of public holidays. We will have a reduced crew onboard. Please communicate any expected volumes during this period so we can avoid disruptions and plan resources
Northline
Northline’s offices, including Customer Service, will be closed on all public holidays and weekends throughout December 2024 and January 2025.
Please note that during the post-Christmas holiday period, pick-ups and deliveries will continue on all working days and any scheduled on a public holiday will roll to the next working day, as per the standard Transit Schedule.
